Scaling Local Journalism to Cover Women's Workplace Experiences

Supports full-time local news coverage exposing the most urgent women's workplace inequities in communities lacking reliable, actionable information on issues that lead to solutions.

Across many communities, women's workplace realities are underreported or treated as niche topics, limiting public understanding. This project invests in dedicated local reporting on women's workplace issues by trusted nonprofit news organizations embedded in up to 20 communities. By telling women's work stories through local, human-centered reporting, these issues are brought into everyday conversation. Sustained local coverage helps communities better understand and then improve women's workplace experiences, positively affecting economic stability, family well-being, and opportunity.
